LOVE
LOUD JULY 14th - MacAurthur Park amazing response
Love Loud on
July 14th was a blast! HLBC set up a massive cookout at the MacAurthur
Park Apartment's tennis courts. A large number of our neighbors at the
apartment came out for some awesome grill out, corn hole, face painting
and just hanging out with each other. It was our largest Block Party
to date and we made many new friends. It was a great time.
The Youth
Drama team performed a very strong gospel centered drama and Jason
Thomas presented the gospel message. The response was very
encouraging.
Every Wednesday we will gather at 5:45pm at the church for a kick off time and then go to out to share Christ's love with random acts of kindness. This week, June 2nd, we will gather and have a meal at HLBC and then have a time of orientation and prayer for our community.
Every member of HLBC will have the opportunity to participate in local mission projects each week. We will reach out to the community with random acts of kindness and the gospel of Jesus.
This is a great way to join HLBC's mission to Love, Learn, Serve and Reach. It's a fun "next step' into missions work. Most importantly you will be sharing Jesus! If you have a family you will be able to serve together as a family. If you don't have a family we will pair you up with others. Maybe your Sunday Bible Study or Small Group would like to take on a project together.
If you have a good idea for a Love Loud Project please let us know through the church office.

Frequently Asked Questions about Love Loud! Wednesdays
What kind of projects will be included in the Love Loud outreach? Each Wednesday will have a major outreach theme like "Block Party Wednesday", "Free Car Wash Wednesday", and "Neighborhood Brightside Wednesday". The Love Loud! projects will be outreaches that can be completed in one evening. Almost all of the projects will be located within 10 minutes of the church. They will be focused on random acts of kindness that help us express the Love of Jesus. We will be connecting with people in our community and being intentional about sharing the gospel with anyone that will listen.
How do I get involved? It's simple. Just show up on Wednesday night at 6:00pm. Come ready and willing to Love Loud! The projects will be well planned and set up in advance. There are lots of ways to be involved. You can be a prayer warrior, a follow up team member or a project team member. Your whole family can serve together if you want. Being a prayer warrior is a great way to join in the mission if you are physically unable to go out on projects. Prayer warriors will pray together at the church for the mission.
When does all of this happen?
Our first Love Loud! project is Wednesday, June 2nd. We continue these outreach mission project through the end of July. We will be meeting at 5:45pm each week to pray and head out to the mission projects. If you're hungry, you can eat at the block parties or at the church if we are not grilling at the project site.
What happens to the Wednesday night dinners?
We will still have food abailable on Wednesday nights. If we are grilling out at the project site you will be able to eat hamburgers and hot dogs. If we are not grilling out then a meal will be provided at the church. The meals will still cost $5.00 per person.
What about my kids?
There will be child care on Wednesday nights for infants and toddlers (up to kindergarten). Families are encouraged to participate in the mission projects together. The projects will be setup so that your child can participate along side of you. An important part of the mission is to help families learn how to be on mission together. It's exciting to think about how all of this could transform your family.
