Life is meant to be shared.  That's why we encourage everyone to connect with a group at HLBC.   No matter where you are in life, there is a place for you here.

Sharing life the way God design it is a lot more than just gathering on a Sunday.  It is experiencing life in community with other Christ followers.  That means being a part of sharing, caring, encouraging, and pointing others to Christ.  Together, in community, we fulfill the mission of the church to make disciples that Love, Learn, Serve and Reach.

First Step:   Discovery Class
The first step to connecting is to participate in a Discovery Class to learn what HLBC is all about.   Pastor Charlie leads the class on Sunday mornings at 9:15am.  It is fun and very informative.
The basics for new believers:   1-2-1
1-2-1 Mentoring groups are available to provide discipleship for new believers.  New believers are paired up one-to-one with mature Christians that are interested in investing in you.  These are people who can help you learn the basics of how to grow in Christ.
Connect in Community:   Love, Learn, Serve, Reach
Jesus commanded us to go to the nations and make disciples.  We fulfill this mission of disciple-making when we connect with each other in order to Love, Learn, Serve and Reach.  Joining a Life Group, Sunday Bible Study, Men's or Women's Group, or any of the various mid-week studies is the best way we connect with the HLBC community.  In community we learn God's word together, serve others and reach all people with the gospel.
Just for Parents:    Growing Kids God's Way
Raising children these days can be a tough job.  We want to help.  Join a Growing Kids God's Way group to learn what God's Word has to say about parenting.   You will also benefit from the encouragement from others that are facing the same joys and challenges that you are.   Children begin to form their understanding of God in their first years of life.  We have a variety of fun and exciting learning environments in the children's ministry for infants through 6th grade.
